The Story Behind the Ruyevo Hand-Painted Jacket

The Ruyevo Collection is the most personal collection I’ve ever created. “Ruyevo” means admiration — admiration for craftsmanship, culture, and the wildlife of Zimbabwe.

Each jacket is:

🦁 Inspired by Zimbabwean wildlife — elephants, giraffes, and more
✨ One-of-a-kind — only nine will ever exist

As an African designer, honoring our wildlife is honoring our identity. These animals symbolize strength, wisdom, endurance, and protection.

Did You Know?
True batik requires multiple rounds of wax layering, dyeing, and hand detailing. Every jacket is therefore a unique masterpiece.
